Europe’s oldest specialist theatre festival kicks off on September 27th and aims to put Dublin at the heart of its celebrations. ‘Your City, Your Stories’ is the theme for this year’s Dublin Theatre Festival where visitors will be taken on a journey through times past, present and future.

After weeks of baking, board games, and let’s face it, boredom, most parents are pulling their hair out trying to keep their kids entertained indoors. Dublin’s social calendar is jammed with events to usher in the New Year this year. The Guinness Storehouse is the hub of all celebrations, with impressive headliners on New Year’s Eve including the Dublin Gospel Choir, Ryan Sheridan, The Knights of Leon and special guest DJs.

Some traditions are worth holding on to, and when it comes to the Live Animal Crib at Dublin’s Mansion House, this is especially true. Established in 1956 by Father Louis Coffey, the dazzling crib has been stealing gasps from families for generations. This year it will go on display from the 8th December to the 24th.
