Q-Park Victoria Square Wins "Best Car Park Facility"
Thursday, 13 November 2008
Q-Park's flagship parking facility at Victoria Square has been awarded the "Best Car Park Facility' by the Irish Parking Association. The new parking facility which opened as part of the Victoria Square shopping centre in March 2008, was presented with this prestigious award by the Minister of State for Transport, Mr Noel Ahern T. D at the IPA Awards in Dublin.

Q-Park was also highly commended in two further categories, achieving 'Best Refurbished Car Park' for Q-Park Clerys in Dublin, while the company's Kilkenny based employee, Seamus Fahy, was also highly commended in the 'Best Parking Manager' category.

According to the judging panel, which travelled throughout Ireland to assess a wide variety of parking facilities, Q-Park Victoria Square excelled due to the 'outstanding quality' of the entire facility. Other key aspects highlighted were the car park's open, bright, spacious feel, and the emphasis placed on security, which, with supervisors on site at all times, creates a safe, secure environment for all customers, particularly women and children.

"We are delighted to win these awards," commented Q-Park Ireland's Chief Executive, Ray Peers. "Our aim is to provide a car parking service which is synonymous with quality, convenience and safety. These awards highlight our approach in delivering an exceptional customer experience."

Q-Park's techonology partner, eTrip, was also successful at the ceremony, winning the 'Best Parking Technology' award. eTrip's innovative tolling and parking tag solution has been rolled out to many of Q-Park's parking facilities, including Victoria Square and Q-Park Clerys.
