A Safe Halloween is a Happy Halloween!

Help protect Trick-or-Treaters this Halloween by following these driver safety tips!

I                 Park your Mobile – Avoid distractions by waiting until you’ve parked your car to call, text or surf

I                 Drive extra Slowly and Don’t Pass Stopped Vehicles

The driver might be dropping off Trick-or-Treaters

I                 Watch for Children darting into the Street – Children can cross the street anywhere. Be extra alert when driving through housing estates and pulling in and out of driveways

I       Yield to Young Pedestrians – Children might not stop, either because they don’t see your vehicle approaching or don’t know how to safely cross the street

I                 Communicate with other Drivers – Always use your indicators and if you have to pull over to drop off or pick up Trick-or-Treaters, turn on your hazard lights

I           And finally, make sure you do your best to help protect your Trick-or-Treaters by making sure they are seen. A reflective arm band can make them more visible to moving vehicles

Wishing you and yours, a Safe and Happy Halloween!
