Q-Park celebrate 10 Years in Ireland by unveiling their flagship parking facility just off Molesworth Street, Q-Park Setanta, and announce exciting plans for Ireland.
2012 is the year Q-Park celebrates its 10th anniversary of operations in Ireland and the occasion was marked by the re-launch of their Q-Park Setanta parking facility on July 18th. The company has invested €2million in refurbishing this 35 year old parking facility that will become the flagship car park for the operation in Ireland. Q-Park’s portfolio of high quality parking facilities includes Q-Park Clerys and Q-Park Bloomfields in Dublin, Q-Park Victoria Square in Belfast, Q-Park City Hall and Q-Park Grand Parade in Cork and now the newly acquired and soon-to-be refurbished Q-Park Eyre Square in Galway.
Following this redevelopment, Q-Park Setanta will offer the highest standards in parking which Q-Park customers demand and expect. In addition, and despite the current difficult economic climate that prevails, Q-Park have acquired a number of other strategically important parking facilities during the course of 2012, such as the new Eyre Square facility in Galway, which will make this year an exciting one for all involved in the operation.
On July 18th, Ward Vleugels, Q-Park NV CEO and chairman of the board, was in attendance to officially unveil the new Q-Park Setanta and to elaborate on Q-Park’s plans here in the Irish market. Vleugels founded Q-Park in 1998 as an independent parking company and has led the growth of the company in Europe.
The re-launch and 10 year anniversary event took place on July 18th with Mr. George Hook as MC and attendance from some senior political figures and members of the Business Community. With a nod to the Irish heritage associated with Setanta Place, entertainment was provided by Celtic band Shamrog, Celtic Rhythm dancers and catering by neighbouring business Bite.
Ray Peers, Managing Director of Q-Park states,
“We are so proud of the new Setanta car park. We believe that we have delivered a state-of-the-art facility unlike any other in Dublin City and indeed, this is what customers have now come to demand and expect from Q-Park.
Everybody involved has worked tirelessly on this refurbishment project and what you see today is only the beginning of our ambitious refurbishment plans for our parking facilities over the next few years.”
