Dublin has re-entered the top 10 most liveable cities for Europeans, according to a global survey.
Dublin has re-entered the top 10 most liveable cities for Europeans, according to a global survey. Copenhagen in Denmark and Bern in Switzerland rank joint first in the survey, while The Hague in the Netherlands and Geneva in Switzerland are joint third. Stavanger in Norway rounds out the top five. Dublin ranks joint ninth in the survey, up from 11th place last year, due to improved scores in infrastructure and personal safety.
Cities around the world are evaluated annually by ECA International on a variety of factors such as availability of health services; housing and utilities; isolation; access to a social network and leisure facilities; infrastructure; climate; personal safety; political tensions and air quality.
Q-Park operate 7 car parks across Dublin City Centre, including the well-known Stephen’s Green, Clerys and Setanta facilities. Last year Q-Park launched the Resident Premier Card at their sites across the city. Customers qualified for this if they lived in a residential property within 1km of a Q-Park car park. This product was half the price of an Unlimited Premier Card and provided 24/7 safe and secure parking for a year. This Premier Card has proved very popular with the local residents it was aimed at. They are already hit with some of the highest property costs in Europe and were then finding that they were priced out of having a car if their property did not have a private garage. Having teamed up with estate and property agents, Q-Park were able to offer a product that saved customers thousands of euros a year whilst also providing some of the safest environments in Dublin.
