Q-Park are Proud to Support FaceItDown

Receive €3 off parking when you sign up for Toyota Ireland's FaceItDown App.

Q-Park are extremely proud to partner with Toyota Ireland to promote their Safer Driving App ‘FaceItDown’. To celebrate reaching 30 million kilometres driven without mobile phone interaction, Toyota Ireland are running a double points campaign for December 4th – 21st on the app.

The FaceItDown App was created by Toyota Ireland to help tackle the endemic issue of people using their mobile phones while driving. Research carried out by IReach on behalf of Toyota Ireland concluded that 59% of Irish motorists have looked at their phone when driving, with 42% admitting they have done so within the last 2 months. This innovative app rewards motorists who place their phone face down when driving in order to increase road safety and remove the distractions created by your mobile phone. For every kilometre driven with the app engaged and your phone face down, users can earn points which are redeemable for free rewards including subsidised parking at Q-Park car parks.

FaceItDown is a free app which is available on the Apple Store and Google Play to all motorists, whether they drive a Toyota or not.

As part of Toyota’s December 4th – 21st double points campaign, Q-Park in partnership with FaceItDown are offering €3 off parking at all Q-Park car parks which offer pre-booking. To take advantage of this offer, all you need to download and register on the app. You will be emailed your €3 discount code. This offer is only available to the first 500 users who sign up so make sure you are one of the first! In addition to the sign-up offer, you can receive further parking discounts for using the app.

Commenting on the milestone, Steve Tormey, CEO of Toyota Ireland said, “Toyota’s FaceItDown initiative is a prime example of our brand promise ‘Built for a Better World’ in action, making a tangible difference to all Irish families. Toyota Ireland is very proud and encouraged to reach 30 million kilometres today and remains focused on making driving on Irish roads safer. This focus is for all drivers. As Irish motorists make important trips in the lead up to Christmas, we are appealing to all drivers to make the app part of their daily driving routine.”

Adam Bidder, Managing Director of Q-Park Ireland said, “The idea behind the FaceItDown app is one that Q-Park is fully behind as road safety is of the utmost importance. Q-Park is proud to feature on this fantastic app as we are always looking to be involved in initiatives that improve the safety and well-being of motorists, many of whom regularly use our car parks.”
