Q-Park are delighted to be able to announce an expansion of their partnership with OOHPod into their Q-Park Stephen’s Green parking facility in Dublin City Centre.
For many years Q-Park have had a large presence across Dublin City Centre with car parks located in prestigious locations ranging from Q-Park The Spire, just off O’Connell Street, to Q-Park IFSC, the other location with OOHPod Self Service Package Lockers, which is just a short walk away from the 3Arena. These parking facilities are very popular with shoppers, tourists and commuters visiting Dublin due to Q-Park’s commitment to security, design and customer service excellence.
OOHPod is a fast-growing network of self-service parcel lockers designed to make online deliveries and returns more convenient, sustainable, and flexible. Positioned in easily accessible urban and suburban locations, OOHPod provides a secure “Out Of Home” delivery solution that allows users to collect or send parcels at any time of day. By consolidating deliveries to shared lockers, OOHPod helps reduce the environmental impact of multiple doorstep drop-offs, cutting emissions and traffic congestion. The company partners with major logistics providers and property owners to create a seamless last-mile experience, combining convenience for consumers with efficiency and sustainability for businesses. The expansion into Q-Park Stephen’s Green allows OOHPod to operate from the very heart of Dublin in an area with one of the countries highest footfall.
Q-Park has long been a leader in the European parking industry, pioneering the development of Sustainable Mobility Hubs. These hubs are designed to transform traditional parking facilities into essential components of urban mobility, supporting greater accessibility, sustainability, and liveability in cities. Beyond providing car parking, Q-Park’s aim is to create multi-purpose destinations that also offer shared mobility options, rapid electric vehicle fleet charging, last-mile delivery solutions, and retail opportunities all within safe and secure environments. As part of their recently announced sustainable mobility strategy, Q-Park has defined four key pillars that qualify a facility as a true Mobility Hub: Parking, Charging, Booking, and Sharing.
John Denton, Director of Commercial at Q-Park Ireland commented ‘We are thrilled to be able to expand our partnership with OOHPod into a second parking facility. The environmental benefits for the local community are what drives our strategy to become the Sustainable Urban Mobility partner of choice by 2030.’
John Tuohy, CEO of OOHPod added ‘Finding the very best locations to operate from is at the core of our business so we are of course ecstatic to be able to grow our business into a second Q-Park facility in Dublin City Centre.’
