Q-Park donate over €4000 to Children’s Health Foundation Temple Street

Q-Park are delighted to announce a signification donation of €4,450 to Children’s Health Foundation Temple Street as part of their ongoing partnership.

Q-Park are delighted to announce a signification donation of €4,450 to Children’s Health Foundation Temple Street as part of their ongoing partnership.

Q-Park entered into a long-standing partnership back in 2012 and this relationship has resulted in a growth in donations each year. Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) at Temple Street is an acute paediatric hospital which cares for thousands of children per year from across the country. Children’s Health Foundation Temple Street raises funds to ensure the best care possible for the hospital’s young patients and their families.

For those who are in need, Q-Park provides highly discounted parking at its nearby Q-Park The Spire car park on Marlborough Street. The brave patients’ families receive 24 hours parking for just €6 when validating their ticket at the hospital. €1 of each validation is then donated directly to Children’s Health Foundation Temple Street by Q-Park. Large donations from partnerships really do help the Hospital to improve its facilities and equipment to provide the very best care for patients who need it.

Due to the support of companies like Q-Park, Children’s Health Foundation Temple Street can fund life-saving equipment, medical research, patient and family supports, and new services across the hospital. For example, a new MRI scanner was recently funded for CHI at Temple Street, worth €2.2 million. The purchase of this machine was solely funded by donations from their wonderful supporters.  The new scanner will give their little patients a much better experience – scans will be quicker, and it will dramatically improve the quality of images.

Liam Redmond, Corporate Manager at Children’s Health Foundation Temple Street, said, “On behalf of all the patients, parents and staff of CHI at Temple Street we would once again like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff and customers of Q-Park for their loyal support of our hospital. This generous donation ensures we can continue to provide world-class care to all of the children who come to CHI at Temple Street.”

Alastair MacDonald, Head of Commercial & Operation at Q-Park Ireland commented ‘Q-Park takes its social responsibility very seriously and have always been keen to help those that need our assistance the most. We are naturally delighted to see that the large donations we have made from this partnership have helped CHI at Temple Street’s wonderful staff to provide even better care for brave patients than they already do.’

About Children’s Health Foundation

Children’s Health Foundation raises vital funds to support sick children and their families in CHI hospitals and urgent care centres – from funding vital life-saving equipment and providing essential patient and parental supports to making ground-breaking, paediatric research possible.

Children’s Health Foundation is the new name for CMRF Crumlin and Temple Street Foundation, which came together in January 2019 to become one foundation supporting all CHI sites to ensure every sick child has the very best chance.

We are committed to supporting the little patients and families who attend Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) hospitals and urgent care centres in Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly.

With the continued kindness and generosity of our supporters across Ireland and beyond, we will work as one organisation to continue our vital work in supporting the patients, families and staff in CHI – today, tomorrow, and in the future.
