Dublin's Christmas celebrations are bigger than ever in 2026, with the city's expanded festive programme bringing Christmas lights, projections, markets and family entertainment to locations across the city centre. Iconic buildings including the GPO and City Hall will be transformed with Christmas-themed projections, alongside illuminated landmarks and festive displays throughout Dublin.
TwinkleTown returns to Smithfield Square with ice skating, the Big Wheel, vintage funfair attractions, live music, festive food and an Irish makers' market. For 2026, a second TwinkleTown also comes to St Patrick's Park, with spectacular lighting, Christmas-themed carousels and choral performances creating a new festive attraction in the heart of the Liberties.
Visitors can also follow the expanded TwinkleTrail through Dublin City Centre or enjoy Christmas shopping around Grafton Street, Henry Street and the city's famous shopping districts. Dublin's theatres and entertainment venues also host pantomimes, concerts and seasonal performances throughout the festive period.
