Q-Park are delighted to announce that they have been nominated for a European Parking Award for a new innovative loyalty scheme which is designed to revolutionise the relationship between the high street and parking.

The EPA Awards are designed to set standards, demonstrate the high quality of parking structures and services and to encourage operators to provide good services throughout Europe. The Q-Park Rewards app has qualified for the final 3 in the Marketing & Communication on Parking Award.

The Q-Park Rewards app has really grabbed the attention of the jury. On this ground-breaking new scheme customers earn a minimum of 10% cashback from their parking spend at Q-Park but can also earn differing percentages from spending with different retail and restaurant brands. These include Debenhams, Argos, Micks Garages and many more.

Customers can then redeem their mobile wallet as cash into their bank account or retailer e-vouchers to spend as they wish. Effectively the customer is able to pay for the parking through the savings that they make during their shopping day! Q-Park hope that this innovative approach to loyalty is going to help to drive increased footfall to city centres as well as help increase customer satisfaction. In addition to this, the app is able to dynamically promote higher cashback rewards at less occupied parking facilities which will help on busy event nights to reduce search traffic at key areas and times of the day.

The Marketing & Communication on Parking Award celebrates how innovative new forms of communication can be used to improve the customer journey of those who are driving into City Centres across Europe. The judges are specifically looking for how operators have improved communication with their customers through new schemes but also how they can improve relationships with other relevant local stakeholders.

John Denton, Head of Sales & Marketing commented ‘We are delighted to be on the final shortlist for this prestigious event. Q-Park Rewards is a great example of how we continually strive to use the latest technology to remain at the forefront of innovation in parking.”

The awards are held on the 18th September in Malaga, Spain.
