Q-Park donate over €12,000 to Temple Street Children’s University Hospital Foundation

Q-Park are delighted to announce a signification donation of €12,985 to Temple Street Children’s University Hospital Foundation as part of their partnership for 2018.

Q-Park are delighted to announce a signification donation of €12,985 to Temple Street Children’s University Hospital Foundation as part of their partnership for 2018.

Q-Park entered into a long standing partnership back in 2012 and this relationship has resulted in a growth in donations each year. . Temple Street is an acute paediatric hospital which cares for over 147,000 children per year from across the country. Temple Street Foundation raises funds to ensure the best care possible for the hospital’s young patients and their families.

For those who were in need Q-Park provides highly discounted parking at its nearby Q-Park Clerys car park on Marlborough Street. The brave patients’ families receive 24 hours parking for just €6 when validating their ticket at the hospital. €1 of each validation is then donated directly to Temple Street by Q-Park.

Large donations from partnerships really do help the Hospital to improve its facilities and equipment. Temple Street is in the process of standardising patient trolleys used throughout the hospital and in the 2018 the Day Ward received funding to replace 10 trolleys but required further funding to replace two more trolleys for their ward.

By providing funding to replace these 2 new patient trolleys, it will mean that all the trolleys in the Day Ward will be uniform, therefore contributing to greater efficiency and safer, more streamlined journey throughout the hospital and providing a more comfortable experience for the patient. The trolleys come with other added benefits such as having a child friendly covering which makes them more attractive to children attending the ward and can enhance their hospital experience. They are also easier to clean and have increased comfort due to a new and improved mattress.

Emma Barrett, Temple Street Foundation said ‘On behalf of all the patients, parents and staff of Temple Street Children’s University Hospital we would once again like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff and customers for their loyal support of our Hospital. This generous donation ensures we can continue to provide world-class care to all of the children who come to Temple Street.’

Mark Howard, Country Director said ‘Q-Park takes its corporate social responsibility very seriously and have always been keen to help those that need our assistance the most. We are naturally delighted to see that the large donations we have made from this partnership have helped Temple Street’s wonderful staff to provide even better care for brave patients than they already do.
