How Q-Park are helping people returning to work

As lockdown restrictions begin to lift, Q-Park have launched several initiatives to make sure parking is safe and affordable for people returning to work.

In response to Covid-19 and the subsequent lockdown, the way businesses operate has changed, with remote working being the norm during the peak months of the pandemic. Throughout this challenging period, Q-Park has continued to operate its city centre parking facilities to deliver high quality safe and secure parking to those workers that still need it.

As lockdown restrictions begin to lift there has been a significant increase in short term parking by retail shoppers. As we enter September, we are now beginning to see several businesses bringing staff back into the office to work on a part-time and in some cases full-time basis. In response to this return to work, Q-Park are offering a 20% discount on Premier Cards purchased between 8th September and 30th November 2020.

In order to accommodate people returning to work on either a full-time or part-time basis, Q-Park have expanded its range of Premier Cards. By increasing the number of Premier Cards, Q-Park aims to make returning to work easier and more affordable. You can have a look at all Q-Parks range of Premier Cards here, which includes Flexi30 & Flexi15 products. These Premier Cards have been developed to support people working from the office 1-3 days per week.

Under normal circumstances, the cleanliness of Q-Park car parks is of the utmost importance to ensure that our customers have a safe parking experience. Following the emergence of Covid-19 and the further challenges it has created we have put new measures in place to further ensure customer safety when parking. Q-Park parking hosts are concentrating their efforts on regularly disinfecting equipment in the car park that customers may physically touch. This includes pay stations, ticket machines and customer toilets. People returning to work can feel assured that Q-Park car parks are safe and secure.

To create a more contactless and socially distant parking experience, Q-Park are promoting the use of our “Tap & Go” parking system. This innovative technology allows customers to tap into and out of the parking facility with their credit/debit cards. This removes the need for the customer to use the pay stations. Q-Park’s Premier Cards work in a similar way, simply scan them at the barrier to enter or exit.
